Politics: Paul Ryan is making the arguments John Boehner should

By ROBERT LAURIE - Boehner needs to go. Pronto.
Democrats have a new favorite word: "Draconian." Slow the rate of spending increases; that's a "draconian" cut. Impose laws restricting illegal immigration; that's a "draconian" human rights violation. Dare to suggest the 47% aren't paying their fair share, you're proposing "draconian" tax increases on the poor.
It's ridiculous, but John Boehner seems incapable of making the arguments needed to refute the "draconian" charge. With all due respect to my colleague, Dan Calabrese, the reason Boehner has no leverage is that he's spent the last few years refusing to fight for it.
Paul Ryan, on the other hand, is ready, willing, and able.
Take a look at this video of Ryan, as he tore into Democrats yesterday. Boehner hasn't made an argument this sharp and succinct in his entire time as Speaker. Replace him with someone who's willing to fight, and do it now.
