Politics: 'Go after' Obama’s Ambassador in DC and you've got a problem. Kill one in Benghazi, and you don't.

By ROBERT LAURIE - Obama is protecting his faithful liars - a luxury Chris Stevens never enjoyed
Yesterday, at the President’s first post-reelection press conference, a gaggle of Jell-O spined sycophants gathered to lob softballs at the commander in chief. As usual, Obama’s ego was on full display, he deflected anything that might be considered even remotely difficult, and the White House press corps was all too eager to lap up his shtick. Honestly, the press should be ashamed. It was one of the most worthless displays of “journalism” to which we’ve ever born witness. There was only one moment worth noticing: an interesting, revealing, exchange during a question about United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice.
Rice, of course, has been in the hot seat because she spent two weeks trying to sell Obama’s “YouTube video” lie about the Benghazi terrorist attacks. Now there are rumblings of Rice receiving a cabinet position. Chief among her many detractors have been John McCain and Lindsey Graham.
“If Sen. McCain and Sen. Graham and others want to go after somebody, they should go after me,” Obama said. “I’m happy to have that discussion with them. But for them to go after the U.N. ambassador who had nothing to do with Benghazi ... To besmirch her reputation is outrageous.”
The hypocrisy here is simply disgusting.
On September 11th, when a violent terrorist mob was storming our consulate in Benghazi, intent upon murdering Ambassador Christopher Stevens, President Obama did nothing. The order was given, by someone, to refuse assistance. As a result of the administration’s decision not to act, Stevens was brutalized and killed, along a member of his staff and two former Navy SEALS.
In the aftermath, Obama’s U.N. Ambassador was roaming around the Sunday news shows, lying through her teeth at the behest of her boss. Now that she’s been called on it, the President is rushing to her aid.
During his press conference, Obama said “When they go after the U.N. ambassador, apparently because they think she's an easy target, then they've got a problem with me."
So, if you “go after” one of the administration’s loyal cronies with words, you’ll “have a problem” because Obama will be ready, willing, and able to stand up for them. He has no intention of allowing you to insult one of his professional liars.
However, if the attacks really matter, if the incoming “fire” is made up of mortar shells rather than a few simple words, you’re on your own. The President has better things to do.
Apparently, “go after” an administration ambassador in Washington and you’ll “have a problem.” Go after – and murder – one in Benghazi, and well ….not so much.
This twisted mentality is despicable, and self-serving in the extreme.
