Cooking: "You're Sick"
As a Nutritional Specialist/Raw Foods Chef, every day I meet people just like you who share the same lament, “My doctor has just diagnosed me with ...” What you’ve avoided or ignored for weeks, or years is summed up in two words… “You’re Sick.”
With the exception of birth defects and certain chromosomal abnormalities, there are ONLY TWO DISEASES: Toxicity and Malnutrition.
Why toxins? Because they store in your body, breaking down organs, making you gain weight, retain weight, or cause you to be underweight. Toxins not only make you sick, they make you die.
In the U.S. alone, from the time you wake up until you leave your home, you can be exposed to over 100 toxins!
Add to that an addiction to foods our government calls safe—foods that stimulate the neuro-chemicals in the brain—causing you to crave and eat them until you are overweight or have a preventable disease.
For decades we've been told we have: Type 2 Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, Cancer, Heart Disease, Obesity and Poor Circulation based on heredity! The truth is, unless you wade in radioactive waste everyday, these are PREVENTABLE food related ailments!
During the last century, we ‘ve made great strides in the way we produce, process and store food; however, one step forward, is a leap backward, when it comes to actual nutrients in our “SAFE FOOD.”

Eat breakfast EVERY morning! Not just any breakfast. Start the day with a green smoothie –filled with all the nutrients you’ll need for the day.
Choose 4 smoothies you love. (A smoothie is more than just fruit. Don’t forget veggies, seeds, nuts and healthy fats.) Make a shopping list. Multiply the ingredients by 7. Then wash, chop, bag and freeze your produce all at once. You’ve just created your own smoothie packs for a MONTH!

2 Heaping Tbs. raw cacao-powder
1 handful raw cashews
2 cups ice or frozen juice from 1 Thai-coconut
½ Thai-coconut meat
1 tsp. alcohol-free vanilla
1 drop Young Living Essential Peppermint Oil
Pinch of Real Sea Salt (not the white stuff)
Raw Maca powder to help balance hormones

Chef Notes: Cacao is raw chocolate containing all the health benefits of dark chocolate. Antioxidants, promotes cardiovascular health.
Cacao increases neurotransmitter levels in the brain: Serotonin acts as an anti-depressant, helps reduce PMS symptoms, and promotes a sense of well-being.
Cacao stimulates the secretion of endorphins, producing a pleasurable sensation similar to the “runner’s high” a jogger feels after running several miles.
After consuming cacao, Phenylethylamine is created within the brain, increasing focus and alertness as if you are falling in love!
Raw cacao increases the production of Anandamide- the “bliss chemical”- without the unpleasant crash!
Cacao beans are also rich in a number of essential minerals, including magnesium, sulfur, calcium, iron, zinc, copper, potassium and manganese.
Many think chocolate is fattening. In truth, the fats in cacao butter are healthy fats. Cacao contains oleic acid, a heart-healthy monounsaturated fat, also found in olive oil, which may raise good cholesterol while reducing the appetite.
