By ROBERT LAURIE - Conservative ideology front and center in new TV spot.

It's a long standing axiom that "Liberals define compassion by how many they can place on welfare, Conservatives define compassion by how many people no longer need it."

That simple concept has become a cornerstone of the conservative movement, and is one of the guiding principles of those who sit on the right side of the political spectrum.  Heck, Limbaugh and Hannity probably say it once a week on their shows.

Now, it's taking center stage in a new Mitt Romney ad that focuses squarely on job creation and Obama's ceaseless expansion of the welfare state.

It's always good to hear Mitt unleash his more conservative nature.  If there's one thing the last few elections have taught us, it's that Republicans who run as moderates lose, while those who articulate tried and true conservative values win.

If Romney hopes to grab the brass ring on election night, we need more of this.
