Politics: Jeb Bush: 'Mr. President, it's time to stop blaming your predecessor'

Yeah, I know, the expansion of federal spending and all that. I still love George W. Bush. And it's great to see the convention respond so warmly when Jeb invokes his name and makes the simple declaration: "I love my brother."

He wasn't perfect, that's for sure, but remember when we had a president who truly governed by what he believed was right and not by the polls? Remember when we had a president who treated the office with dignity and represented America around the world with a genuine sense of national pride? Remember when we didn't apologize for using our influence in the world?

By the way, this isn't what Jeb's speech is about at all. It's about education. So I should probably be paying attention to that.

Sigh.

Remember when Dick Cheney was vice president and it drove the left insane? Yeah . . . good times. I'd take them back in a second.
